Let us get some reality check with Director Shoojit Sircar’s historical flick “Madras Café”, starring the bodybuilder John Abraham (Vikram Singh), the rockstar damsel Nargis Fakhri(Jaya) and the new face Rashi Khanna(Ruby Singh). After a series of comedy, love and action releases it’s time to watch out some real, historical movies this weekend.

The movie tells us about the historical facts which are not known to the public. The cast has put their best foot forward to make people aware of the things which are of due importance. The movie relates to Sri Lanka civil war and the assassination of Ex-Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi.

Check-out-the-first-look-of-John-Abrahams-action-thriller-Madras-Cafe-Vikram Singh, an Indian military officer, leads his separate army and is been assigned by RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) chief to conduct secret operations in Sri Lankan city Jaffna. Here he meets Jaya who is a British war correspondent.

The movie follows with twists, thrill, deaths and violence. The words itself makes you realise the pain or you can say tragedy that was faced by the people in 1980’s during the war. The newbie in the movie plays a role of John’s wife. The director has picturized the beauty of the relationship that a military officer shares with his wife. Sircar and the co-producer John have shown that how a military officer truly justifies the uniform, by sacrificing family and love.

The movie depicts a beautiful message that during wars nobody gains profit but everybody is at a loss. The music of the movie is composed by Shantanu Moitra and is quite soothing to ears. A track that is played in the last ‘Maula sun le re’ carries a beautiful and deep meaning. The cinematography, action and the sound visualisations are very well picturized in the flick.

The cast and the director truly justify the movie and without forgetting to take in consideration is actor John Abraham. The way he has immersed himself in the character is remarkable and makes this movie as one of his best performances and also a leading movie in Bollywood.

The movie lives up to the expectation of the audience and is based on practicality.  A historical fiction movie is a must watch!!
