BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SHIVAJI MAHARAJ CELEBRATED IN NASHIK
People all across Nashik city and district enthusiastically celebrated the 387th birth anniversary of the great Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Various programmes were organized all over the town to mark the occasion.
Besides schools, various political organizations and social organizations organized special events. The youth wing of the Congress party organized a programme in which city president Abhijeet Raut garlanded the photo of Shivaji Maharaj.
The minority cell of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) too organized a programme in which Nana Mahale, Balam Patel and others took part.
The Chhatrapati group of KK Wagh Educational Institute celebrated the birth anniversary in a novel way. On the other hand, All India Trade Union Congress too organized a special programme. The district secretary of the Communist Party of India Raju Desale addressed the participants of the programme.
A special programme was organized at the divisional commissioner office. Deputy director of the ground water survey and development authority KC Wankhede garlanded the photograph of Shivaji Maharaj.
At Zilla Parishad (ZP), the deputy chairman of ZP garlanded the statue of Shivaji Maharaj. Principal Kishore Pawar, who was present as the chief guest of the programme, gave a lecture on the work of Shivaji Maharaj. Thus the ceremony ended smoothly with all the felicitations.
