City youngsters celebrate ‘World Handicap Day’ with specially challenged kids
Disability Day or World Handicap Day celebrated on 3rd December, 2013 is observed as a contribution of stable people to support the specially challenged people. People who lack access to basic requirements are promoted to support for the dignity, rights and well-being on this day.
Nashik, as always played an important and successful role on this uncommon day. City youngsters extended their wise support to specially challenged schools in Nashik like National Association of Blind (Nab), Mai lele, Shiddhivinayak and K. N. Kela. These active participants distributed food and clothes to these little souls and shared happiness. This was not it. They also promised to help these children in terms of health, education, habitat, etc.
They conducted activities in the school premises and tried to build feeling of equality among children. It was indeed an amazing experience to watch the kids live up an unusual day. Nishit Atal, one of the organizers quoted, “It was truly a blissful feeling to be with the kids. Our moto was to remove the tag of ‘under privileged’ by not sympathizing them but by making them stand on their feet.”
We are glad to watch Nashikites taking initiative to support social causes. Cheers!
