Dress code is important aspect of life. They say, “You are what you wear”. Our PM Modi has proved how important it is to dress right for different occasions as it adds heaps to your charisma.
We religiously follow the celebrity dressing styles.Whether it is Kareena Kapoor’s Patiala Kurtis in Jab We Met or Deepika Padukone’s half sarees in Chennai Express to Salman Khan’s Being Human tees. The examples are plenty. In this scenario, How could our politicians fall behind in dressing style?
The election days in Nashik are ahead. While the cacophonies for elections by various candidates of various parties are on full-swing, the party candidates are busy choosing the right, perfect dress for the big day aka The Election Day. Till now everything must have been settled down for the candidates. Take a look at Nashik politicos who also have an interesting dressing codes.
- Chhagan Bhujbal, NCP
If there was ever a fashion group of politicos in Nashik, Bhujbal would surely lead the team in all the way. Yes, his dressing sense more unique than others. Monocled in thick black rims and his iconic muffler has now become a synonym to Bhujbal. He always wears crisp Pajama Kurtas with sleeves usually folded up in public appearance and coupled with the colourful scarf usually around his neck gives away his extravagant elaborateness. His look is simple yet professional and appealing. While his dressing style depicts his professional outlook of getting work done, it also highlights that this politician and his work is all about getting observed. Bhujbal tends to have a perfect dressing code sense overall.
- Seema Hiray, BJP
Seema Hiray is one of the favorite politicians among females. She is not less than a celebrity in her ward. Handloom cotton saris are Seema Hiray’s favorite for public appearances but she also doesn’t shy to experiment silk saris. She love to experiment with all sort of colors from bright to pastel shades, but never exaggerates them. She is contesting from Nashik West which generally constitutes the working class, middle class from Cidco, Satpur and Ambad region. Thus, her recent attire in her political campaign depicts the way that women’s belonging to that area prefers to wear. Hiray’s attire portrays her as a responsible lady of the house who is always busy taking care of all her family members. Indeed an image that would certainly appeal to her voters.

This leader is a dashing leader of MNS, strongly built and carries a thickest beard and tache look all the way along. He is fond of light colors than the brightest one and often seen in light pastel shades Kurtas. To go along with his husky image, he prefers to wear long Kurtas. His distinctive style of dressing and physique symbolizes the Indian man who is the headman of house. His clothes are well-fitted showing off his strong structure of body. His impressive appearance is highlighted by the bright red Tilak on his forehead that also represents his party.
- Devidas Pingle, NCP
Devidas Pingle remains attached to the typical politician look of simple kurta-Payjama since ages. Of late he experimented with shirt- trousers too. Even in his simple style of dressing, Pingle stands out in the crowd due to his substantial height. Pingle prefers to be simple, elementary in his dressing manner. He is always simply dressed and never experiments with his attire. Pingle’s personality makes a statement through smart frames, sheer whites clothes and confident body language. Since he holds important positions in his party, representing interests of rural and urban populations thus, he has to be cautious in his dressing sense.

Shahu Khaire represents Congress party in the city. As a representative of common man more than Aam Admi party candidate, Khaire is invariably seen in crumpled clothes. He usually favors politician’s popular color… white! While his personality is daunting, his slight stubble and clothing style give him the ‘Man-next-door’ persona.

Boraste is modern and takes a keen interest in his dressing style. He is quite an experimental dresser. Always seen in well-ironed shirts and trousers, he has donnes half sleeved silk Kurtas on social functions. His dressing style speaks his personality as vivacious and gumptious. Boraste also dares to wear black in social functions and events. His style is splendid and expresses his keen interest in young generation.
