For the first time in Aamir Khan’s career, he was offered a negative role and the perfectionist gladly accepted it. Dhoom 3, the most awaited sequel of 2013 where crime is sexy and consequence-free. The director, Vijay Krishna Acharya has put his best foot forward to match up to the earlier Dhoom releases.
The story revolves around the father-son magicians’ duo. Iqbal (Jackie Shroff) holds a huge debt from a well-known American bank. The only dream of ‘The Great Indian Circus’ when broke, Iqbal commits suicide. His son Aamir Khan (Sahir) makes sure that his father’s soul rests in peace. His only aim is to close down the bank by repeated robberies. His swift moves and fantastic bikes stunts steals the money and of course the show.
The chor-police drama is quiet entertaining as Jai and Ali, the cops who use their mastermind to catch hold of the flawless thief do a commendable job. All the actions scenes are well sorted and appeal to the audiences. The stunts in the movie are very much influenced by the Hollywood flicks but have the Bollywood masala intact.
The typical Bollywood revenge saga is an elongated version of the last releases in a modern way. Acharya has made sure that every character is never underutilized. The movie manages to deliver great suspense, fantastic comic timing, well-choreographed songs, spectacular screen play and the unsaid love sequences. Dhoom 3 is a definite watch; get hooked and go watch Aamir!
