We have seen a lot of telly starts entering the big screen. One such popular VJ, a successful host Manish Paul made his mark with his new release ‘Mickey Virus.’ The debutant director Saurabh Varma’s movie is a comic-action genre with strange twists and turns. The movie stares the virus team, Mickey’s (Manish) friends played by Chutney (Pooja Gupta), Floppy (Raghav Kakkar) and Pancho (Vikesh Kumar).
Delhi being a hot spot shoot destination, one can see too many glimpses of the capital city. The story portrays the lazy and vella delhi guy Mickey Arora, who runs a grocery shop and makes virus for anti-virus companies. The script of the movie is based on the murder of the computer hackers that took place in Delhi. ACP Siddhant Chauhan (Manish Chaudhary) and inspector Bhalla (Varun Badola) are responsible to find out the culprit. The team of the cops employs the lazy hacker Mickey on the case to resolve it.
The big boss lady Kamayani George (Elli Avram) works in a high profile bank to earn her bread and butter. It is very predictable when Kamayani and Mickey fall in love with each other. The problem arises when love and business clash. As they rightly say one should not mix business with pleasure, but this is seen nowhere in the movie and the virus seems to spread at a lightning speed.
The music of the movie is hilarious as songs like ‘Pyaar china ka maal hai’ sound weird to your ears. It also has a romantic compose, ‘Tose Naina’. Both Manish and Elli have put in their descent efforts but an overall perception of the movie is average with a slack climax.
The debut by the cast as well as the director could not create magic at the box office. Check out the movie review and the show timings on Page 3 Nashik!!
