The comeback of the Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor (Vishwas Rao) with the one movie old actress Ileana D’Cruz (Kajal) will be seen playing a comedy-action genre Phata Poster Nikla Hero, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Ramesh Taurani, Ronnie Screwvala and  Siddharth Roy Kapur. The movie is full of fake twists and turns where actions sequences are also portrayed in a comic way.

Vishwas, playing a die-hard fan of Salman Khan desires to be like his role model. The movie is blend of the old flicks Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani and Dabangg from where the bits and pieces of action and comedy are reflected. Actor Shahid shares a very strong and emotional bond with his mother Savitri (Padmini Kolhapure), a rickshaw driver and wants his son to become a successful and honest cop. To live up to his mother’s dream and make her happy, he fakes to be a cop. As this is something which cannot be hidden for a long time, the truth is revealed and the actor lands up into many troubles. Shahid has justified his role as he has given his best foot forwards in roles like comic, action and of course romantic sequences.

PHATA POSTER NIKLA HERO – Movie ReviewKajal, a social activist is a strong woman and is always moaning on the anti-social acts. She has also been tagged as ‘Complaint Kajal’ for her attitude. Kajal has well portrayed her character but fails to showcase her humor skills, as it is one such aspect which is not everyone’s cup of tea. An interesting element in the movie is the cameo appearance of Salman Khan.

The music is vibrant in the movie. One can experience romance, humor as well as an item number. Nargis Fakhri shines in the item song, ‘Dhating Naach while ‘Tu mere agal bagal hai’ is a poppy track and as always Shahid attracts the audiences with his amazing dancing skills.

Overall, the movie is a descent attempt and can be watched over this weekend.
