This week Bollywood filmmakers offer ‘R..Rajkumar’ to their audiences. Too many similar shots and similar casts make this movie very monotonous. Starring ‘Jab We Met’ fame Shahid Kapoor with Sonu Sood, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mukul Dev, Asrani and directed by Prabhu Deva. Prabhu had made same kind of the film ‘Rowdy Rathore’ which somehow managed to earn 100 crore and thought even this film would add to his profit pockets, but unfortunately puts a hole in his pocket.
The characters of the movie are like Romeo Rajkumar (Shahid Kapoor) who seeks employment and meets Shivraj, role played of a villain by (Sonu Sood). Rajkumar, a loyal lover plays and important role. However, 1 lady and 2 lovers does not sound nice to ears and starts the ‘jung’ factor between the heroes. We have seen such love triangle in ‘Once upon A time in Mumbai Doobara’ which starred same actress, phew…So many similarities!
The story line is weak rather very predictable. What is weird about this flick is the guys have same cherry on 2 different cakes. They both fall in love with same lady (you guessed it right). It is clearly understood that how predictable it can be. Guess Chanda (Sonakshi) has decided that this is the only character she will carry in each movie.
Music of the movie is average. For me till now only 2 songs are averagely added to my playlist, ‘Gandi Baat’ and ‘Sari ke fall sa’. Performances of the actors are not commendable that it adds to the WOW factors of the movie. One thing you can appreciate is choreography, and why not after all its Prabhu Deva and Shahid, who already are better known for their dance element. But to make an overall good movie the fancy dance elements don’t meet up to viewer’s expectations.
We would end on a cheesy note that as one of R..Rajkumar’s song lyrics say ‘Gandi Baat’, this movie lives up to the lyrics being a ‘Gandi’ movie. Surely not this weekend entertainer!
