80,000 new voters added in Nashik district

page3nashikAs many as 80,000 new voters have been added in Nashik district through the special voter registration drive conducted by Election Commission. As per final voters list, a total of 38,87,665 voters have now been registered in the district, informed District Collector Vilas Patil.
As per the voters list published on January 31, 2014, there were total 37,98,625 voters in the district.
However, a special voter registration drive was conducted in the district on March 9 after Election Commission instructions. EC also instructed to publish a supplementary voters list. The drive got overwhelming response in the district. The supplementary list of those voters who have registered their names in the drive, was published yesterday. As per the list, 80,134 new voters have been added in the district.
page3nashikion43,881 new voters have been registered in Nashik Lok Sabha constituency, Dindori – 24,288, whereas 11,965 voters have been registered in Malegaon central, Malegaon outer and Baglan constituencies. In addition, a total of 8,906 new voters have been registered from armed forces. 4060 voters have been registered in Nashik constituency, Dindori – 3541, whereas 1305 voters have been registered in Dhule constituency.
Following this there are a total of 38,87,665 voters in the district now. 15,93,505 voters have been registered in Nashik Lok Sabha constituency, Dindori – 15,29,864 and 7,64,296 voters have been registered in Malegaon central, Malegaon outer and Baglan constituencies in Dhule constituency.
