AFS Deolali organises AOC Cup 2014 on 23rd February 2014. To propagate the cause of sports and adventure in the Indian Air Force (IAF) and stimulate the young minds and motivate them to join the IAF, a unique sports tradition in the Nashik district i.e. “AOC Cup” is being revived after eight long years. The Championship is planned to be organized at the mesmerizingly beautiful and lush green Air Force Sports Complex of the Air Force Station (AFS) Deolali, on Feb 23, 2014 in Nashik.Air Cmde JB Inamdar, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Deolali, will inaugurate the AOC Cup 2014 at the captivating, beautiful and verdant Air Force Sports Complex tomorrow.
Top ranking golfers of AF Station Deolali, School of Artillery and also high ranking civilian officials of the Nashik district administration will participate in this championship.
The championship will be sponsored by Sarvaangi, which is an 8,000 sqft showroom having wide range of Silk, Cotton, Synthetic Sarees, Dress Material etc, located at College Road, Nashik.
Behind Sarvaangi, there is Bhandge Pariwar, who have a legacy of 125 years in manufacturing of Paithani Sarees. They have won 5 Rashtrapati awards in excellence of Paithani Design. Even British Airways displayed their Paithani design on the tail fin of their aircraft in the year 2000.
