
The coveted ‘Aviation Wings’ to become combat army helicopter pilots were awarded to 32 aviators On Saturday (May 17). CATS trains young army officers to become effective combat helicopter pilots. In a ceremony attended by senior army officials, civil dignitaries, officers and all ranks of Nashik Road Military Station and family members of passing out course, the ‘Wings’ were awarded by Major General P K Bharali, VSM, Additional Director General, Army Aviation, who was also the chief guest on the occasion.

The ceremony was marked by Integrated Training exercise ‘Hawk-Eye’ by army aviation helicopters, Cheetah, Chetak and Dhruv. Various missions like STIE, slithering, rescue operations were demonstrated by the army aviators of Nashik Aviation Base.
