26th July, Kargil Vijay Divas is an auspicious event which was tagged after the operation ‘Vijay’. On 26th July 1999, India won its 4th war against Pakistan. The soldiers sacrificed their lives in the battle that continued for more than 60 days against the enemies. Every year on this day the Kargil War’s Heroes are honored with respect. It is celebrated in the Kargil sector and in the national capital New Delhi where the Prime Minister pays tribute to the heroes.
The team of Page3 Nashik, on this special occasion witnessed volunteers and students of Bhonsala Military School of Nashik, who in honor of the Kargil warriors paid tribute in the wee hours of 26th July 2013. It was marked as the 14th Anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Divas.
We see the tradition losing its essence and hence it was an amazing gesture of these wonderful kids to march on the sun-splashed streets of the city. The march commenced from Bhonsala Military School, followed by College road and ended at Shankar Acharya Karyalay. Brigadier Deo showed his auspicious presence during the event.
The little foot-steps taken by the young lads definitely show feeling of respect and are the future of our country. The credit goes to the schools and institutes who encourage students by conducting activities of National importance. We hope and believe that Nashikites voluntarily participate in the upcoming activities with same energy and enthusiasm.
