Marathi cinema has evolved in leaps an bounds over the years, and this is the first time that Ajay Devgan would be venturing into Marathi Cinema. Ajay Devgan’s production house will be presenting a periodic drama film called ‘Vitti Dandu’ which is slated to release on 21st Nov 2014. Vitti Dandu received the much needed hype as the trailer of the movie was attached to the actor’s recent film Singham Returns, where the viewers caught a glimpse of the film for the very first time. Vitti Dandu, the much awaited Marathi movie has seen aggressive promotions in the last few days. The actors have vowed to leave no stone unturned in reaching to the masses. Gauhar Khan, Mrunal Thakur and Ashok Samarth recently visited Red FM studio Nashik and were interviewed by RJ Pari.The interview will be aired On the Famous Red Fm show Teen Taas No Tras between 11 am to 2 pm on 20th November.
The Ajay Devgan Production, Vitti Dandu centers around the triumph of love for one’s country over attachments for a loved one. This movie stars Dilip Prabhavalkar, Ravindra Mankani, Yatin Karyekar, Radhika Deore (child artist), Nishant Bhavsar (child Artist), Shubhankar Aatre (child Artist), Mrunal Thakur and Ashok Samarth. The film is directed by Ganesh Kadam under the production name of Rajradha movies. Music is composed by Santosh Mulekar and is produced by Leena Deore. The movie also stars Bigg Boss Season 7 winner and Bollywood actress Gauhar Khan playing as a British officer. Vitti Dandu deals with two different time periods which is Pre and Post Independence. The story revolves around the intricate relationship between a kid called Govind and his grandfather played by Dilip Prabhavalkar. It is a story about a grandfather, his grandson, the British Raaj and Vitti Dandu. Ashok Samarth is a patriot, and the actress Mrunal Thakkur shared with the media that her role in the first and the second half of the movie are completely different. This has raised the curiosity level of the audience so as to how the movie would turn out to be.
