Nashik division has registered 88.71 per cent result in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination conducted in March 2014. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the on-line result of the examination. Compared to last year, the result percentage has increased by nine per cent. Last year, the division had registered 79.01 per cent result.
Interestingly, this year also, girls have outclassed boys. The passing percentage of girls is 92.42 per cent. Dhule district has topped the division with 89.65 per cent result. The students can get their original marksheets from their respective colleges after 3.00 pm on Tuesday, June 10.
Nashik Divisional Board president DG Jagtap announced the result . As many as 1,33,140 students of 751 colleges had applied for the HSC examination. 1,32,961 students had appeared for the examination. Of them 1,17,949 students have passed the examination successfully.The passing percentage is 88.71 per cent. The passing percentage of girls is 92.42 per cent whereas that of boys is 85.96 per cent.
Dhule district topped the division with 89.65 per cent result followed by Nandurbar district 89.16 per cent, Nashik district 88.56 per cent and Jalgaon district 88.29 per cent.
The trend of increase in Science faculty result percentage continued this year also. Among various streams, Science faculty result was the highest in the division. It is as follows: Science – 94.82 per cent, Commerce – 91.44 per cent and the Arts faculty also registered good result with 83.38 per cent and Minimum Competency Vocational Courses (MCVC) – 84.74 per cent.
Girls who lead the HSC result since last few years have continued the trend this year also. The passing percentage of girls is 92.42 per cent in comparison to the percentage of boys which is 85.96 per cent. In Nashik division, 56,655 girls appeared for the HSC examination. Out of these, 52,360 have passed the examination. In comparison to it, out of the 76,306 boys appeared for the examination, 65,589 have passed the examination.
