India Grape Harvest – Wine festival 2013, organized by All India Wine Producers Association (AIWPA) in association with India Grape Processing Board (IGPB) hosted a grand two-day event in the India’s wine capital city NASHIK. As many as 22 wineries across Maharashtra participated in the event held at poolside, Meuse Jupiter Hotel.
The event was inaugurated by the honorable Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal as he shared his valuable thoughts on health and wine. He visited all the 33 stalls in the exhibitions, which included organic fertilizers, organic grapes, export quality grapes, export quality grapes, paper bags for wine bottles, wine accessories, Maharashtra Industrial Development and many more.
The festival showcased almost 200 wines from India’s top 22 wineries with grapes under one roof which originated from different parts of India and different varieties of grapes like Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Zinfandel, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Grillo, etc.
The festival included various entertaining sessions like wine tasting, cheese tasting, live rock bands like Infrared who rocked the stage on Saturday and Swarathma, a band of young and fresh faces who grooved the floor on Sunday in front of an amazing audience from Mumbai, Pune and other visitors from abroad as well.
Other entertaining sessions for refreshment and rejuvenation were grape stomping, magic shows, and fashion
show presented to honor the title of WINE QUEEN was planned and executed by Sagar Bairagi.
India Grape harvest –Wine Festival 2013 was one of a kind event witnessed in Nashik and also on a National level. It was a great effort taken by the members and team of AIWPA and IGPB which lead to a successful event on all fronts making the weekend exciting for each and every one.
