Lok sabha polls campaigns concludes

electionThe campaign for the Lok Sabha polls in Nashik and Dindori constituencies ended. Various political parties held rallies on the last day of campaign to woo voters.
Rally by Congress-NCP
The rally by Congress-NCP for its candidate, district guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal began from Congress Bhavan at 10.00 am. It moved on to Meher singnal, Ashok Stambh, Ravivar Karanja, Main Road, Dhumal Point, Gadge Maharaj statue, Doodh Bazaar, Khadkali, Zilla Parishad HQ, Trimabk Naka to CBS. Chhagan Bhujbal garlanded the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue on Shivaji Road and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue in front of the district court. Later the rally went to the Congress Bhavan via Meher signal and concluded there.
Former MLC Jaiprakash Chhajed, former MP Devidas Pingle, Narendra Darade, former minister Dr Shobha Bachhav, Adv Ravindra Pagar, Rajaram Pangavhane, other office-bearers and corporators participated in the rally.
During his address at the conclusion of the rally, Bhujbal appealed Congress-NCP office-bearers and activists to be alert, leave differences aside and make efforts to win the contest.
The rally was very huge so much so that the Congress – NCP alliance succeeded in putting up a grand show of strength outcrowding rival rallies.
Show of strength by ‘Mahayuti’
The ‘Mahayuti’ (Shiv Sena-BJP-RPI-A grand alliance) also held rallies in the city and Deolali, New, Old CIDCO areas on the last day of campaign today.
d34257-largeThe main rally began at 12.30 pm from Shiv Sena headquarters in Shalimar Chowk. It moved on to CBS, College Road, Lokmat Circle, Gangapur road and concluded at Raosaheb Thorat hall. Mahayuti candidate Hemant Godse, MLA Baban Gholap, Shivsangram party’s Vinayak Mete, Shiv Sena district chief Vijay Karanjkar, metropolitan chief Ajay Boraste, former district chief Datta Gaikwad, deputy mayor Satish Kulkarni, BJP city president Laxman Savji, former mayor Vinayak Pande and other office-bearers participated in the rally.
No show of strength by AAP
Instead of show of strength on the last day of campaign, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a rally in Nashik Road suburb of the city and ended its campaign for the LS polls. AAP did not show its strength even on the day of filing nominations.
The AAP rally began from Hotel Jatra on Mumbai-Agra Highway today. It moved on to Jail Road, Bytco Point, and Gurudwara and concluded at Bytco College at Nashik Road. Along with party candidate Vijay Pandhare, Sahebrao Kadam, Jagdish Singh and other office-bearers, activists participated in the rally.
MNS avoids show of strength
Like Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) also avoided show of strength on the last day of campaign for the LS polls.
