Maharashtra Adventure Rally of Maharashtra kicks off the live action in Nashik. The city dwellers got the opportunity to witness the first special stage of the Rally which started off at Dadasaheb Phalke Smarak Campus on 13th June from 3.00 pm onwards. Organizers had offered one more opportunity to click photo with the fastest competitor in the stage. Special backdrop arrangements were made for the Driver/Co-driver duo who ran the car in the least time. The pair posed with their cars and free photographs were distributed for the spectators. The whroom action and noise of the cars surely made the thunder showers of monsoon feel ignored.
Undoubtedly, Samir Thapar in his monstrous car dominated the competition here and made the day of his fans and automobile enthusiasts. Even though Gaurav Gill is the king of Rallying in India, he could not clock the fastest timing in the Special stage at Phallke Smarak. He has a huge number of fans in Nashik who were cheering for him like mad for Mahindra Adventure Rally of Maharashtra. However, Samir Thapar, who was driving the Mitsubishi Evo X was the fastest in the stage as he clocked 1 minute 36 seconds. He showed all his experience and skill as he drove his car as if the Stage was not at all new for him. The 49 year old veteran proved his worth as he set the 2.5 km stage of fire.
