A leading recruitment website has recently listed Nashik along with the other cities like Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Lucknow as major Tier II and Tier III cities in the list of top 10 job hiring destinations in the past one year.
The studies have revealed that the jobs are moving from big metros to smaller cities very rapidly. In last two months alone, these cities have seen a 2% to 5% increase in hiring, more than in any of metros as per the data.
Nashik is establishing itself into a developed city apace. The proactive governance, favorable policies, infrastructural developments and investor friendly initiatives are some of the boosting prospects in the city. All these factors seems to be working in favor of more jobs in smaller cities like Nashik, Ahmedabad, Jaipur etc… crowded metros and high costs of infrastructure and living are motoring companies to look at these Tier II and Tier III for their availability of workforce at lower cost.
In Nashik, the top employment areas includes banking, Financial Services and Institutions (BFSI), IT/Telecom and manufacturing and Engineering. There is a huge demand in core and support profiles, sales/business development, BFSI and IT Software in city. In fact the study claims that over 70 percent demand is for freshers and demand for experienced professionals in Engineering and consulting projects.

Nashik has high demand for both core and support profiles including, sales/business development, BFSI and IT Software. Sales reported for nearly 20 percent of the total job postings in Nashik.
It seems exciting that these smaller Tier II and Tier III cities have a lot of potential from business perceptive and job opportunities in the future. It is yet to open the market in full-fledged conditions but it is also good that major sectors such as IT, BFSI, Construction, Real Estate are driving the job market and expansion in these upcoming job hubs.
