Heavy traffic is reported daily at the end of Indran Nagar jogging track , at Mumbai Nashik Highway. Local resident Amit Shinde (38) uses the road daily to travel to CBS.
“It takes me 15 minutes to just cross this junction while going from Indra Nagar to CBS using by-pass bellow the highway. But due to the bottleneck at Junction, travel time has almost doubled,” he added.
Commuters are also alleging that NMC and builders of highway engineering department for the compromised plan while undertaking the road-widening work.
You can find a team of traffic police struggling to manage traffic on the crossing, In the past traffic police even try closing down the underpass at Indira Nagar for 20-30 days, as several accidents were taking place on that location but failed to manage the traffic and forced to re-open the underpass.
