Lakhs of people will be witnessing the mega event in 2015, the Kumbh Mela accommodation. Provisions for a hassle free event have been undertaken by the city officials. One of the major challenges scrutinized in this process is the accommodation of the pilgrims visiting this event.
To extend a helping hand, CREDAI- The confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association has offered assistance to create a housing pool for temporary accommodation of the pilgrims. CREDAI believes that it’s the social obligation of the association and hence would like to contribute in the best possible manner.
A housing pool for the pilgrims will be created for temporary accommodation instructed the civic and district administration. The city hotels are not in a position to accommodate lakhs of pilgrims visiting the mela. Provisions for private accommodations or paying guest services have also to be sorted. The civic administration will be soon conducting a survey for sorting out houses ready for tie-ups.
Kiran Chavan, president, CREADAI Nashik, announced, “The builder-members of the association will identify the sold flats in housing societies and apartments, which are lying vacant. We will encourage the owners of such flats to provide their vacant flats for temporary accommodation to the pilgrims. There are hundreds of such flats across the city. The list of such flats will be sent to the administration soon.”
