Amro College of Hotel Management , Rajurbahula, Nashik , in operations since the year 2000 , conducted it’s annual theme dinner on March 1st,2014 at it’s campus. The theme this year was labeled as ‘ Mummies in the House – an Indo Egyptian theme dinner.
The annual theme dinner is planned, conducted and executed by the students of Diploma and Degree students. The guests included Major(ret) Kulkarni, Mr. Vijay Nair, Dr Ram Galande, Mr. Monit Dhavale ( Sula), Mr. P.V.Patil ( MSBVE) , Mr. Anant Kumar ( Indian Bank).
The menu for event was featured with delicacies from Egypt and India. A lot many items were inventions of Amro students and Faculties. As a welcome drink on the chilly night the guests were served with Egyptian Tea. The entire sitting area was provided with fresh wood burning fire cages to let the guests fight the chill that the mother nature was showering upon us Nashikites. This followed by the Dance performances by Prachi Wagh ( third year B.Sc HS) and old passed out student Ajinkya Somvanshi. Getting encouraged by these two, the relatives of our first year students also joined the stage to perform on stage. There were lots of quizzes which were participated by all the attendees which earned them attractive prizes sponsored by our sponsors : Sony Gifts, National Book Depot, Kanti Tea Depot, Carnival restaurant, 21st Century restaurant, etc. The last item on the agenda was FOOD ; First came was Hot Tomato Shorba followed by starters of Corn Cheese Tikki, Bombil Pakoda Preparations like Grape Jalebi , Egyptian Dates Muchkins, Aubergine Fritters , Chicken Panne, Chicken with Chickpeas, Handi Khichdi , Okra Stew and Bakhlava to name a few of the items on the vast menu selection which were appreciated by one and all. The students were guided by Mr. Rajan Soni ( Chairman) , Mrs Sunanda Soni ( Principal) , Mr. Rohan Soni, Rohit Sonawane, Gaurav Dixit, Deepa Pawar , Mrs Manisha Ashtikar and Mr, Bagad. The event was compared by Reena Soni. As parting gift to each attendee was given a hand made face sculpture of Egyptian Mummy. The Amro Management promises to have a different theme dinner in the year of Kumbh Mela. So watch out for the same.
