Nashik has stretched its wings all over the country and abroad. The 3rd most developed city after Mumbai and Pune, Nashik offers most conducive environment and highlights an excellent business opportunity.

Referring to the possibilities in the city, 6 Information Technology Companies notify to begin their operations within a span of 2 months to one year. This proclamation was made during an event jointly hosted by Nashik Industries Manufacturers’ Association (NIMA) in association with the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).

‘Nashik- IT Destination Next-2013’ held at Hotel Express Inn on 26th July, 2013 was a long day seminar which offered an opportunity to interact with the existing IT/ITES players in Nashik such as WNS Global Services, ESDS Software, Datamatics Global Services, Aress Software, Winjit Technologies, Netwin Khanbahale, Silicon Valley and many others. The seminar was organized in the presence of Guardian Minister Shri. Chhaganraoji Bhujbal and brought together all concerned stakeholders viz. Revenue Officials, MIDC, MSEB, ISPs, Academia, Bankers, Investors, Real Estate and Infrastructure Management Agencies under one roof.

NIMA president, Mr. Dhanajay Bele, stated, “Altogether six companies have pledged to start operations in Nashik at the earliest. City-based Datamatics is looking for expansion on 10-acres of land preferably in Vilholi-Gonde belt.”

The names of the upcoming IT companies include Acute Infomatic, a software company from Ahmedabad which is supposedly going to start its operations in a month; Virmati Software & Telecommunications are also to start in near about a month’s span. Mould-tech Technology Solutions and Hizcom Technology, both from Hyderabad plan to initiate their operations in the month of September. A Mumbai based company; iZone also plans to come into the picture at the earnest.

‘There is 30,000 sq feet of ready space available for the IT industries, said Mr. P Anbalgan, joint chief executive officer (CEO) of the Maharashtra Development Corporation (MIDC). But, the sources have explained that currently there were no enquiries for the same.

Also, The Principal Secretary Apurva Chandra was not seen during the seminar. No information was provided about the changes in the policy about MIDCs IT-Park which was constructed in the year 2002 and has no takers yet and has been lying unoccupied for over a decade now.
