Zabuza labs, a Nashik-based game development lab, on Wednesday launched Treasure Hunt Go Nashik, a game personalized for Nashik city. The game is developed in such a way that players would get the live experience similar to Pokemon Go as well as knowledge about Nashik’s landmarks.
Manas Gajare (head of Zabuza lab.) said the game has been developed to popularize mobile games promoting physical activities. Once downloaded for free, users are given a nearby destination where they have to reach following a map visible on their phones. On reaching such destination, a user gets10 points and a puzzle about the following destination. More than 60 such locations in Nashik have already been added into the game’s database.
“Nashik has many temples, landmarks, and popular food joints. The knowledge of these locations brings a complete picture of the city. While playing Treasure Hunt Go, one will have to solve a puzzle and guess the location to reach there with the help of the map. Once reached, the user will get points and puzzle about the next location. The points could be used to get hints to solve the puzzle,” Gajare added.
The game is personalized for Nashik and the lab will launch such city-specific games if this is successful.
Among the popular locations featuring in the game are Navashya Ganpati temple, Someshwar temple, Ramkund. Some popular food joints like Sadhan Misal, Owara, Nandan panipuri and Shaukin bhel are also on the destination list.
