Nashik has various trekking destinations, tourists’ places and holy spots. What lacked during all these years were some recreational centers for the public at large. But here is some great news for Nashikites. Now you can put your cycle gear on and tuck in your helmets to take a long cycle ride while enjoying the soft breeze.
The newly proposed dedicated cycling track is being stretched on the 22.5 km route between Nashik city and Trimbakeshwar which is being widened by the State Public Works Department (PWD).
The 30-metre measured stretch belongs to the PWD department and will not face any troubles in the acquisition of land. The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has undertaken the plan of constructing the cycle track from Hotel Rajdoot, near Anant Kanhere Maidan till Victor Gasket Circle on Trimbakeshwar Road, the cycle track is further extended on Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road away from the NMC limits.
The cycle track will have a profound marking and will be thoroughly constructed. An official shared, “It will be in pure mud but a dedicated path keeping in mind the safety of the pedestrians as well as the cyclists willing to take the nature-rich route.
Due care for safety and security are noted for both pedestrians and cyclists. This is a great initiative taken by the PWD as there is a great demand for the same. A delightful ride is on its way! Happy Cycling!
