This Ganesh Festival all we can hear, sense and chant is Ganpati Bappa Morya!! And of course how can we skip the yummy Modaks prepared during this festival. Modak is the most preferred delicacy of lord Ganesha. This season, in the name of this deity Ichamani group organized a grand “Modak Mahotsav” for Nashikites.
Every year Ichamani Caterers organizes different events and this year they came up with a unique idea of offering 101 different varieties of modaks. Specially designed for 3 days, starting from 13th to 15th September,2013 this event was free of cost. The hosts of the event with creative efforts of their team successfully prepared 101 types of Modaks. The USP of the event was Prasadi Modaks. It was one of its kinds, which was neither heard nor experienced.
During the last Ganesh festival, Ichamani caterers organized a ‘MAHAMODAK’,weighing 1251 kg and was served wholeheartedly with a mirwanuk at the ‘Sidhivinayak Chandi Ganpati Mandir’, Ravivar Karanja. The whole of the city came together to witness this massive preparation. Later in the month of February 2013, the group organized “Upwas Festival” where 151 preparations were served for the fast. More than 5,000 people visited this festival which led it to have a recognition in the Limca Book of Records.
