This Engineering college from Nashik galore at NITT hackathon

A team from Nashik secured first position at NIIT hackthon.  

The wining team from Late Kantabai Bhavarlalaji Jain Engineering College recently bagged the first prize at the Smart India Hackathon 2019, organised by the HRD ministry in association with AICTE, Persistence Systems in Tamil Nadu. 

The group Agro Yantrikies – comprising Devidas Navale, Vrushabh Pophali, Nikhil Sahane, Bapu Jadhav, and Prachin Khivansara, among others – presented a Smart Onion Planter, that won them an amount of Rs 1 lakh.
The principal of the college, MD Kokate, says that the students’ project will help in making the onion plantation process easier and more efficient with the help of machinery.

The event saw 14 teams and 84 students participating under three themes – agriculture and rural development, smart vehicles, and energy/renewable energy.

Agro Yantrikies who presented a ‘Smart onion planter’ under the theme, ‘Agriculture and Rural Development’ walked away with the top prize.
