NIFF 2014 concluded with spontaneous response

page3nashikThe 6th Nashik International Film Festival (NIFF 2014), organised by the Media Foundation of India and Kalavaibhav Sanstha, Nashik, was inaugurated in presence of various famous film producers and artists amidst enthusiastic environment on Friday. The festival concluded with presentation of Jeevan Gaurav (Lifetime Achievement) Award at Sula Vineyards on 23rd March at 6.30 pm. Veteran film actor and producer Ramesh Deo and Seema Deo were honoured with this award during the valedictory function of the festival here. Denmark based film actress Elena Kazan inaugurated the festival at City Centre Mall on Friday. Mariano Bargo from France, Boris Ersson from Sweden, Dr Radhika Shukla, Nagesh Bhosale, Nandkumar Raju, Sai Ranade, Sanjay Shejwal, Rushi Bhutani, Vishal Patil, Kiran Diwan, Bina and other celebrity personalities from film industry were present on the occasion. In his address, Event Director Mukesh Kaneri reviewed the artistic journey of NIFF being organised in the home town of Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema. The festival was inaugurated with screening of a French Film with the Indian one ‘Nabbe – Every Second Counts,’ produced by Dr Radhika Shukla. Dr Shubhada Jagdale compered the programme while Kaneri proposed the vote of thanks. The festival is getting overwhelming response from audience of Nashik, sources informed. From 10 am to 9 pm everyday, different films are being screened at Kusumagraj Memorial on Gangapur Road. Apart from this, various workshops, seminars and other activities based on films have been held during the festival so far. The festival concluded and results of different competitions were also been announced.
