RTO issues ‘Rasta Surakshitachi Pathshala’

New Year with new norms! 2014 started with zeal in Nashik when the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Nashik issued a booklet briefing safety road measures on 3rd January, 2014 for welfare of the citizens. The slogan of the Road Safety Campaign this year is, ‘When on Road Always Say Pehele Aap’.

rule_bookThis booklet is titled as Rasta Surakshitachi Pathshalawherein all measures and rules to be followed by the citizens are listed. Around 2000 copies of this booklet will be distributed during the campaign continuing from 3rd January to 17th January, 2014 and this booklet is a part of its annual Road Safety Campaign.

Commissioner of police, Kulwant Kumar Sarangal, will release this booklet at a program held at Niyojan Bhavanof the district collectorate. During this campaign, competitions and workshops are arranged at different grounds and schools. Drawing competition has been scheduled on 10th January at Pramod Mahajan Udyan on Gangapur Road. On 5th January, a workshop for bus drivers and conductors has been scheduled at the Fravashi Academy, debate competition has been arranged at KTHM College for students and the topic is the slogan of the campaign. Also, a walkathon which will commence around 8 am has been arranged from Dongre Grounds on January 12.

Jeevan Bansod, RTO officer informed, ‘About 2,000 copies of the booklet will be distributed among school students during the campaign. The booklet comprises of various tips with respect to precautions that need to be taken during a bus journey, while cycling, while crossing junctions along with the reasons behind most accidents, benefits of using helmets etc.”
