Marking the occasion of World Health Day, a new medical care centre — Sahyadri Speciality Hospital, replacing the old Nagji hospital in the city, was inaugurated on April 7, 2014 at Dwarka Circle, Wadala Road. The inauguration ceremony was held by renowned sports counsellor Bhishmaraj Bam.
“This hospital will be driven by local doctors and will serve patients from all parts of the society,” informed chairman and management director Dr Charudutta Apte.
The 108-bedded facility will have its own team of city-based renowned doctors. Moreover, 24-hour critical care will be available in the hospital. The facility is also associated with various insurance companies.
Various complicated surgeries will be performed at the hospital including cancer, cardiac, nephrology, heart surgeries among others with the help of advanced machinery and techniques, informed head of Nashik centre, Kirtish Moghe.
Neurologist Dr Pranav Shinde, Dr Amit Yeole, Dr Anand Diwan, Dr Rahul Bawiskar, oncologist Dr Chandrashekhar Pethe, Dr Ajay Jadhav, Dr Rajendra Aher, Dr Shirish Deshpande, orthopedic surgeon Dr Vijay Kakatkar, Dr Bharat Kelkar, Dr Umesh Kulkarni, Dr Rameshchandra Kajoniya, Dr Atul Agrawal and Dr Khushal Jadhav will serve patients at the hospital.
