Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty inaugurated the boat club in Nashik

IMG_0989Temperature raised a notch further in Nashik, when Nashikites witness 2 Bollywood biggies Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty on Tuesday afternoon. The atmosphere of Nashik was overtaken by enthusiasm as and when the news of actors visiting the city spread. The entire College Road and Gangapur Road areas were jammed with innumerable young girls and boys eagerly waiting for the actors’s sight. Youngsters were ready with their mobile phones to click pictures of the superstar and create a buzz about it on social networking sites. Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty visited the city to inaugurate Nashik’s one of a kind boating club at Gangapur Dam premises. The superstars arrived during noon and gave their much awaited glimpses at College road where the uncontrollable crowd gathered in huge numbers. The security was pretty tough and guarded every nook and corner to avoid mishaps.IMG_1032

The inauguration took place at Gangapur Dam premises around 5 pm where Maharashtra Public Works Department Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and his nephew NCP, MP Sameer Bhujbal along with state water resources minister Suniel Tatkare were present. Actor Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty inaugurated the boat club at Gangapur Dam premises in the presence of the dignitaries. Salman Khan expressed his feeling for the developmental changes in Nashik he witnessed. He was overwhelmed by the developmental works and said that he is getting the feel of Bangkok in Nashik. Indeed it was a moment of proud for the city.

IMG_1004 Finally he came up on the stage and said  in praise of MP Sameer Bhujbal that “Last time I had  appealed to you to make Sameer Bhujbal an MP and I thank you that you responded to it positively. He has also fulfilled the promises he had made”. Always help these 3 people,  appealed Salman indicating the Bhujbal family. Actor Sunil Shetty said MP Bhujbal is not only  his friend, but a younger brother and pointed out that he had provided more facilities in Nashik than that in Mumbai. MP Sameer Bhujbal in his introductory speech said that he tried to achieve all-round development after his election and after studying what the city  lacked, he tried to bridge the gaps.

Even after the actors left the city, the air in Nashik was filled with joie-de-vivre.  Hats off to the actors who dazzled the public with just a wave ! Nashikites experienced a wonderful Tuesday afternoon in the city.
