As per the government order, all the schools will have summer vacations till June 15 and most of the schools will open on June 16. It means, children can enjoy two months of holidays.
Students were on cloud nine as annual examinations in many schools ended today.
The overwhelming joy on the faces of children who left the school after appearing for the last paper knew no bounds. Immediately after the paper, students were seen jumping with joy as they rushed to their homes.
After the conclusion of the examination, the burden of study eased off from the students’ mind and they felt relieved. However, though the summer vacations will last for around two months, the students were unhappy somewhat with the thought that they would not be able to meet their friends, tease one another and spend time together.
Most of the students have made special planning for the vacations. Many of them have registered their names in various camps – adventure sports, handcraft, music, singing, drawing, cricket, tennis and other things whereas some will go to their native places and even visit tourist destinations during the vacations.
Though the annual examinations in most of the Marathi and English medium schools in the city ended today and the summer vacations for children began in these schools, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) schools in the city will continue to remain open.
These schools will continue operation till April 30. Due to the decision by the NMC, students in NMC schools will have to attend schools for some more days.
