Centralizing the complaint redressal system the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has launched a toll free line, which will be operated on 24×7 bases. After privatization of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB), the MSEDCL was entrusted with the job of supplying electricity to the citizens of the state. Right from the beginning, MSEDCL implemented various new ideas.Earlier the company started fuse call centres across the state. By dialling the call centre number the consumers used to make complaints about power failure in their area. Now MSEDCL started centralized call centre and provided a toll free number for its 2 crore consumers. While starting the call centre MSEDCL has closed all the fuse call centres all over the state.
Henceforth, by dialling the 18002333435 and 18002003435 numbers the consumers across the state can make complaints. The call centres have been started at Pune and Mumbai. From any landline or cell phones, the consumers can dial the numbers free of cost. After dialling the numbers, the consumers should provide their consumer number to the executive. The consumer number will help the call centre employee to trace caller”s location and accordingly he/she will forward the complaint to the concerned officer who will redress it. Notably, after receiving the complaint the call centre employees will provide the complaint reference number to consumers. By using the reference number, the consumers could follow-up his complaint if it is not redressed in particular period.
