A conference on women’s rights was jointly organised by Aswamedh Social organisation and Lok Nirman Prakalp at Rotary Club. The conference was inaugurated by Mayor Adv Nitin Wagh. Dignitaries including MLA Vasant Gite, Dr Prachi Pawar, Mohini Mitnavare and Pranita Joshi among others graced the occasion as chief guests.
The government has implemented many schemes for the benefit of ignored and underprivileged people of the society. People should take benefit of such schemes. There is a need to curb the inequality in the society because once the society is developed it will result into progress of women.
Dr Pawar appealed that women should be aware about their health giving information related to women’s health. Joshi and Mitnavare also shared their thoughts on the occasion.
Health cards were distributed among women domestic and construction workers on this occasion.Anand Gaikawad anchored the event and Kailas More gave the introductory speech. The vote of thanks was presented Shobha Thakare. Ravi Wagh, Shivaji Sonawane, Smita Khairnar, Sachin Naik and Rekha Chandane among others were present at the programme.
