5 new gymnasiums in Nashik
Nashik becoming sporty! Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) boosts up the energy among youngsters as well as the old in Nashik. NMC plans to build 5 gymnasiums in Nashik city at 5 different locations. Bids for the same have already been floated amounting to Rs. 44.52 lakh and the work will be undertaken by private contractors. Construction of public toilets has also been included in the tender.
The main localities for construction are Cidco and Satpur. The different layouts will be 1st near the Shree Swami Samarth Seva Kendra, Satpur, costing Rs. 9.69 lakh, 2nd at ward 51, in the division of the municipal corporation, Cidco, costing Rs. 9.10 lakh, 3rd at ward 41 in the NMC’s Cidco division costing Rs. 14.23 lakh, 4th at Swami Nagar in ward 49 in the Satpur division, costing Rs. 6.66 lakh, and 5th at an open space in ward number 48 in the Cidco division of NMC, costing Rs. 4.84 lakh.
The last date for filing the tenders is November 25 and on the same day, the tenders will be opened at the NMC head office. The construction of fiber urinals will take place at 14 different locations such as Ranapratap Chowk, near Suyash Hospital, Shivaji chowk in Old Cidco, Trimurti Chowk, Rathchakra Society in Indiranagar, Lekhanagar vegetable market, Pavannagar, Saibaba Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Lehanagar, near Ashwin nagar Stadium, and Satpur. The costing sums up to Rs. 12.59 lakh.
“We plan to construct gyms at several locations across the city. We have identified five sites for the gyms and tenders have been invited. The tender process will be over by November end and actual work is expected to begin in December”, said an NMC official.
There are many other recreational plans to be undertaken in Nashik. We believe in the upcoming years Nashik will prove to be one of the best cities to reside in the country.
