Igatpuri Manas Resorts, the original among the two Manas hotels, is located on a very scenic spot – right at the top of the Kasara Ghat (2 -2.5 hrs drive from Mumbai). It’s an ideal getaway resort which can be reached within the shortest time from Mumbai. Away from the din and noise of any typical commercial tourist destination in Nashik and Mumbai, this resort is actually set in a very quiet location. The resort is a nice mix of tastefully done up decor as well as a well-preserved natural environment. The highlight of the place is the service. The staff is very courteous and the service is prompt. Among the facilities, the dual swimming pool is a big hit.There is one for adults and one for kids with a waterfall. There is certain valley facing rooms that really a treat to check into once the rains settle in. You will feel there is fog right inside the bedroom:).
Touristy things around the hotel within an hour to hour and a half drive are – Bhandardara Dam(1 hr), Sula Vineyards (1 -1.5 hrs), Vipassana Meditation Pagoda (15 mins), Bhatsa Lake (1 hr) , Trimbakeshwar Temple (1 hr) and Nasik( 1hr)
But the most recommended thing to do is to just unwind within the resort!
The best season to visit – Mid June to September (monsoon). But you won’t be disappointed in any season!
Room Tip: You should ask for the valley facing apartment rooms and that too on the higher floor.
