The Gateway Hotels & Resorts, part of the Taj Group, are designed for the urban nomad and exemplify comfort, familiarity and flexibility when you travel. Gateway has always represented the spirit of freedom – of expression, of thought and from the mundane. In keeping with this philosophy, Gateway presented Revolutions the Freedom Series, a movement that celebrates artists that have left an indelible mark on culture and changed the world around us, through their contribution to the visual or performing arts and literature.
Gateway Hotels & Resorts, part of the Taj Group of Hotels hosted Gateway Revolution 7, a Wine ‘n’ Music Festival with a Doors Tribute Concert at The Gateway Hotel, Ambad, Nashik, on Sunday (Feb 9). Luke Kenny & Band paid tribute to the legendary ‘The Doors’ at the concert as a part of the Revolution Freedom series.
Guests were offered the Gateway Revolutions Weekend Stay Package inclusive of unlimited wine tasting from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm on Sunday followed by a music concert tribute to The Doors, dinner at the Gateway All-Day Diner or the specialty restaurant, Panchratna, breakfast at GAD and a customized vineyard tour on Monday (Feb 10).
Revolutions is a contemporary representation of this spirit of freedom that is reflected at Gateway in all dimensions. As the wine capital of India, Nashik bought a new dimension to Revolutions and showcased the best of the valley with wine stalls from the likes of Chateau D’Ori, Sula, Reveilo, Zampa and Four Seasons before the concert and a customized tour of the vineyards for resident guests the morning after. This was also an opportunity for many patrons to experience the specialty restaurant Panchratna, re-launched earlier this year with a revamped menu with an eclectic mix of authentic delicacies from the North West Frontier and regional home-style Maharashtrian cuisine.
The flow of the night went smoothly and the guests had a awesome time giving a tribute to the artists. This concert would probably leave a remark in the history of Nashik with an intoxicating, genre-blending sound provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but also on Nashikkites.
