Here is some GREAT news for Nashikites. Nashik has been awarded as the BEST TOURIST FRIENDLY CITY, 2013 by ABP news. Nashik beats Agra and Jaipur in this tag. This award was given by the Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma of Amrapali Group.
Among many other cities in India, Nashik is chosen to be the best tourist friendly city and it has been observed that from last 5 years Nashik has been contributing a lot towards Tourism development. The numbers of visitors have been rapidly increasing. Also the sources said, Pilgrim places like Kumbh, Shirdi Sai Baba, Trimbakeshwar, Saptshringi and many more are the most liked tourist destinations. Other attractions are rope way services to reach Saptashringi Temple, upcoming waterpark project near Gangapur Dam, and many other tourist centric developments are in the process, in and around the district.
Nashik has more than 18 International schools which lead to Nashik being an Education Hub.Nashik ,known as the wine capital of India has more than 38 wineries when compared to the overall figure in India which is 78 wineries. Nashik has achieved a lot in past 5 years and promises to achieve even more in the upcoming years.
