The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Nashik where the vehicles and licenses are registered will remains partially shut from 5th December, 2013. The RTO is about to introduce a new software ‘Vahan’ due to which it will remain shut. While the installation of the software, the shifting of data from old software to new software will take place.
According to the statistics average number of people visiting RTO Nashik per day is 2000. They have appealed to the commercial vehicles like auto rickshaws, taxis and goods carriers, looking to pay taxes, get permits renewed to get their work done by Wednesday and the works that come after will be kept on hold till it re-opens.
Prior in 1996, RTO used the software from National Informatics Centre (NIC). But since it’s a long time the software has been used for, now it has become old and outmoded and hence the NIC has come up with this new software Vahan.
Peeps rush out to get your urgent works done from RTO before 4/12/13 and we hope the new software benefits RTO Nashik and others.
