A Signature Campaign to save the environment was organized by a group of volunteers of ‘MANAV UTHAN MANCH‘ in Nashik on 25th June, 2013. These active volunteers raised near about 500 objections related to the loss of the prestigious and native environment and submitted to the NMC. Also, an urgent demand was put forward for carrying out tree plantation drives and to form a dedicated tree committee.
This signature campaign took place in the wee hours near NDMVP Engineering college and saw people taking preliminary steps for this social cause.
Miss. Savitra Pol coordinated the drive. Few volunteers who contributed to this campaign were Swapnil Ghiya, Yash Modi, Sarang Shah, Jitendra Bhave, Anand Singh, Aman Singh and others.
