26/11 has made a mark in the memories of Indian people, despite of the massive heart-rending incident people moved on and got back to their daily routines as soon as possible. It’s been almost 5 years, however the wounds are still fresh among the friends and families who lost their loved ones during 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.
Though the losses cannot be easily recovered but to extend a soothing hand “We Foundation” a social group in Nashik has been conducting social events since 2008. Today, to give a tribute to all those who sacrificed their precious lives to save our country, volunteers of “We Foundation” came together to contribute for this social cause by hosting a “Blood Donation” campaign. It was overwhelming to see that there are so many people out there with the passion for social change.
It was indeed an auspicious moment to watch attendees from various backgrounds like college students, working professionals, housewives, etc. The event was inaugurated by the hands of Nashik’s Special Inspector General Mr. Dhananjay Kamalakar, followed by DCP Mr. Sahebrao Patil. Accompanying the two was ACP Ganesh Shinde. The guests paid a tribute to the martyrs in the attacks. We witnessed well-wishers offering flowers and lighting candles in the memories of the martyrs.
Amit Oswal of We Foundation was glad to see active participants and believed that the good always over powers the evil. After witnessing the great support We Foundation plans to organize many more events in the city. Page 3 Nashik brings you the exclusive footage on the tribute to victims of 26/11.
