The celebrations are still on to rejoice the achievement of the young damsel, Anjana Thamke in the Asian Youth Games, 2013; and here is what doubles the celebration. We announce another successful story of the future of our city. Saurabh Suryavanshi from Nashik recently got the best student tag at IIT Powai, Mumbai.
Saurabh completed his schooling from A P Patel High School and his M.tech from IIT. Always being in the list of scholars, he continued to show his excellence also in SSC, HSC, M.tech and AIEEE exams. This young lad always knew his goals and worked hard to achieve the same.
He appeared for the GRE entrance exam and with his outstanding performance scored full marks in 2 subjects and plans to complete his Masters degree in Science at California University.
The uphill battle did not go unnoticed for this chap. Mahindra and Mahindra; privately held automobile company marked Saurabh’s talent and decided to encourage him by offering a scholarship worth Rs. 2 lakhs for further education.
Keeping people’s expectations in his mind during the entire academic procedure, Saurabh worked on a research project in Nanotechnology Solar Sets. His dedicated work for the research was deeply appreciated by the International Journals and magazines. And that proud moment arrived when he was honored by the ‘Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal’ at the convocation ceremony of the institute by the Vice-president of the TATA Consultnacy, Mr. S Ramadorai.
