Students spread ‘SAVE GIRL CHILD’ message in Nashik
Nashik has been witnessing a lot of social initiatives taking place by various individuals and groups. One of such events was held recently in the campus of KTHM college, Nashik. Like other educational institutes, the students and college faculty announced and celebrated the cultural festival where numerous days and activities were planned and executed with zeal.
Dance performances, competitions, fun filled games, etc were to name a few. The institute saw equal contribution from each and everyone present. However, along with the entertainment the students of the college presented a social act with a motive to save the girl child, as this is one of the major issues to be addressed in our country. A fantastic flash mob concept was taken up to ensure complete excitement which definitely attracted many. While the dance performances and other activities were at their peak, from nowhere the music stopped and immediately after an unknown silence the ultimate message “Stop female foeticide and Save daughter” was aired through loudspeakers.
The act and other related performances were heart throbbing and left a mark in the audiences’ minds. Tracks like Meri Maa, Tumhi tu and Mujhe kya bechega rupaiyya added to the blissful environment. College principal Dr Dilip Dhondge, vice-principal Dr S D Bandal, Dr R D Derkar, D B Pawar were present on the occasion.The awareness initiative was aired to the citizens to ‘Save Girl Child’ and the zealous students accomplished the same.
