Since June 5 is observed as World Environment Day all over the globe. Sula Vineyards also did its bit towards the Environment by planting more than 15000 saplings across Nashik.
Dr. Neeraj Agarwal, Senior Vice President, Operations, Sula Vineyards flagged off the plantation drive at Savargaon near Sula Vineyards, Nashik by planting 500 saplings in the area. Present during the plantation were locals from Savargaon as well.
Mr. Sunil Patil, DGM, Vineyard Operations, Sula Vineyards did the plantation of saplings with Sula employees at Dindori Farm, Umrale mala, Tal. Dindori, Nashik, while Mr. Nana Shelke did the plantations with contract farmers around Nashik. Mr. Sanjeevan Darole did the plantations with Sula employees in Domain Dindori at Jaulke Wani.
All the saplings were provided by Sula and this drive a step towards keeping Nashik green. Trees were planted in the vicinity of schools in the mentioned villages and also on the roadside. After the plantation of these saplings, Sula takes pride in announcing that Sula Vineyards will be bearing the cost of all the saplings planted, right from digging the pits to plant them and their maintenance in future. Saplings were also provided to all the residents of these areas who have the space to plant trees.
Saplings were gifted as a token of awareness to all guests who came Sula Vineyards on the World Environment Day, and a Painting competition was organized for kids from Gangavarhe and Savargaon.
On the occasion, Dr Neeraj Agarwal, , Senior Vice President, Operations, Sula Vineyards, shared, “Dear Nashikites, It is responsibility each one of us to take care of mother nature by plating more trees, conserve water and reduce pollution for our own survival and to preserve it in good conditions for coming generations.”
On Sula’s behalf, Dr Neeraj Agarwal also visited various VIP’s in the town including Commissioner of Police, Mayor, Additional Collector and gifted them saplings to mark the occasion, which was applauded by them all.
