Rajeev Suresh Samant, founder and CEO of Sula Vineyard is an Economics Graduate holding a Master’s degree in Engineering Management, established the very first winery in Nashik in 1999. Along with being a farming aficionado, he is also the Numero Uno at introducing different varietals of fine wine such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel and Riesling in India.
It was a pioneering effort and today Nashik is considered as the wine capital with 35 wineries.
Since its inception, Sula has rapidly established itself as India’s leading premium wine company. Known for its white and red wine, Sula has been winning kudos in their field and showing growth since their commencement.
Sula comprises of its separate tasting room, an authentic Italian Restaurant, ‘Little Italy’, an Indian Restaurant, ‘Soma’, and a lush-luxuriant, green amphitheater. Recently, a 32-room vineyard resort has been opened. Mr. Rajeev’s latest project is, Vinoteca – Mumbai’s very first authentic Spanish Wine and Tapas bar.
