world first website

On April 30 2013 the world is celebrating 20 years of WWW (World Wide Web), Yes  it was on April 30, 1993 when CERN made the WWW technology available on a royalty-free basis.

The website,  was very basic as compare by today’s standards, contains only text explaining some of the basics of the World Wide Web. It was originally available at this address —http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html

The website was removed long back but to celebrate 20 years of internet CERN ( the organization responsible for devising the fundamental web standards) made this website is back online.
